David Whipple, Founder, Principal Advisor
Mr. Whipple graduated from the University of Utah in 1985 and went into selling businesses. One work day he brought a company’s documents to Ralph his manager and said, “this is a great business to sell”. Ralph looked at them and shook his head,”no”. Mr. Whipple explained, “But it has profitable sales”. Ralph shook his head and went on to teach him how it was not valuable even with profitable sales. What Ralph taught David was not taught in his schooling and is not taught at business schools today.
So, Mr. Whipple went about selling businesses and was later voted on the presidential committee for the most and best quality transactions. He continued selling businesses but was asked by many business owners. How do we increase our company’s value? He went on to help them with the things he learned from the University of Utah and his experience with other owners. After 20 years assisting businesses in over 44 different industries and learning that they all have some things in common (like businesses all have accounting p& ls and balance sheets) he published his first book, “14 Immutable Laws of Business Value“. A few years later he had a friend, Eric, develop his word dynamics application (Analyzer I) and then a team develop the first Analyzer II beta called Centerfigure. He used those for many years but a year ago updated Centerfigure 2.0 to Analyzer II 3.0. And Analyzer II 3.0 developed in python by David Max Whipple running over 10,000 variations of a business model to find the optimal value in seconds and also a tool to find untapped business value.
About 7 years ago he started sharing his ideas with other Cohorts online and in one-to-one training. Soon they began to join his business value community to learn his unique perspective of business value’s principles and laws, that is not taught in Universities, and is the “why” of the Emyth. Plus, he does not do productivity, cost cutting, advertising or margin moves but a unique combination of strategic initiatives with intangibles of business value that are moving the business towards the ideal business organization that increases the discretionary cash 3 to 5 times.

Jim Roach, MBA, Founder Shadow Rock Consulting Group
After working for years in financial-services firms like Lincoln Investment Planning, Sequinox and American Wealth Strategy Group, I realized my interest went deeper than individual financial planning. I kept returning to one question: Why aren’t more small firms operating with the systems, structure, and clarity that major firms enjoy?
That question sparked a shift. I moved from advisor support into business analysis, coaching, and strategy roles; at Sequinox (as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor), at Banner Group as Business Analyst, and in my own consulting capacity. What became clear: many small and midsize businesses struggle not because they lack potential, but because they lack the right framework to unlock it.
With Shadow Rock Consulting Group, I set out to change that. I offer business owners proven, realistic systems; lead-generation funnels, value-discovery workflows, referral engines built on simple tools (sheets, CRM fundamentals, email, automation), not fancy software or bloated overhead. My goal isn’t short-term spikes, but long-term value: a business that runs efficiently, grows predictably, and builds real equity.
In every engagement, I bring clarity, discipline, and empathy because I know what it’s like to juggle business growth alongside family, personal debt, and life responsibilities. My mission is to help businesses grow in a way that supports the owner’s life and legacy, not in spite of it.
If you choose to work with me, you get more than a consultant. You get a strategic partner committed to turning potential into real, sustainable business value.
